The Chadds Walk Tidal Waves Swim Team is a Cobb County Summer Swim League (CCSSL) team open to resident and non-resident children ages 5-18 (4 year olds may participate in our rookie program). Registration fees are per child, and include ribbons, a team medal, instruction, a Tidal Waves swim cap, and participation in five league meets. The team is self-sufficient and relies primarily on parent participation. All programs are funded from registration fees and concession profits.
Participation as a non-resident swim team member includes access to the pool during scheduled swim team activities only. It does not extend to general pool use or HOA-hosted social events, which are reserved for residents.
Participating in swim team gives your child an excellent opportunity to build endurance, get more comfortable in the water, and be part of a fun, supportive team! It is also a great value for an activity that meets daily for 7 weeks. Please remember that swim team is different from private swim lessons. The ratio of swimmers to instructor is much higher, and it is not possible to offer as much individualized instruction. All children must be able to swim independently (without a flotation device) in order to sign up for swim team.
