Chadds Walk Tidal Waves

If you don't like to sit still and like to be in the middle of the action, this job is for you! Runners pick up timer sheets and place judge sheets after the events and deliver them to the scoring table. Requires almost NO training and plays a big role in keeping our meets on time and on schedule. 

• Chadds Walk will have 1-2 Runners for each shift; one to work the deep end and one to work the shallow end. 
• At the end of each Event, you will pick-up the time cards from the two Chadds Walk Timers at your end of the pool. You will also pick-up the Place card from the Chadds Walk Place Judge at your end of the pool.
• “Run” all of the cards to the Scorekeepers table.
• Go back to your end of the pool and start the whole process over for the next Event.
• If a team has only one Runner per shift, they usually will suggest that they pick-up all of the cards (both teams’) for one end and you do the other end. In that case, the Chadds Walk Runners can split their shift. Or both our Runners can work the end of the pool that is the furthest from the Scorekeepers table and their one Runner can work closest to the Scorekeepers. (With all of the parents and kids, the pool area gets very crowded!) Be friendly and flexible, but if you have any kind of problem, ask a Volunteer Coordinator or the Team Coordinator for help.
