Score Keeper

  • You will pick up the score sheet, pencils & clipboard from the volunteer table.
  • As results from the meet are brought to the table, you work with the opposing team's score keeper to verify that both teams have the same scores.  If there is a discrepancy, you can look at times or ask the referee.
  • You then score the results for only the 1st Heat in the score sheet as follows (Events 1-12, 25-76):
    • 1st Place: 5 points
    • 2nd Place: 3 points
    • 3rd Place: 2 points
    • 4th Place: 1 point
  • Results for 1st Heat of relays are scored as follows (Events 13-24, 77-86):
    • 1st Place: 7 points
    • 2nd Place: 4 points
    • No score for 3rd or 4th Place
  • The time cards are passed to the second score keeper, who:
    • Ensures the time cards are in order
    • Writes what place ribbon each person will receive for each heat
    • Passes them to Ribbons team.
