6/26 Final Pre-Meet Details
Parents,
We are excited for our final meet at HOME tomorrow (Wednesday)! A few final details:
Parking: Please do not park on the side of the street with "no parking" signs. Carpool if you can to leave space for our visitors. If you notice anyone double parking, please let one of the Board members (pink tanks) know so we can make an announcement.
Weather: Weather is looking HOT tomorrow night. Make sure everyone is drinking lots of water and resting up during the day!
Theme: We are going to join the rest of Cobb Summer Swim and host a Pink Out in honor of Breast Cancer awareness. We encourage swimmers and fans to wear pink and we will be selling pink rubber bracelets at concessions for $2 where all proceeds will go to the Cobb Summer Swim League Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer (formerly It's the Journey) fundraiser for breast cancer support.
More info here: "Last year, Cobb Summer Swim League partnered with It's the Journey to spread awareness and raise money to help stop this vicious disease and to help support other families that are fighting the fight. Together we raised over $25,000, and with Cobb County's donation to It's The Journey we helped countless LOCAL men and women fight this disease.”
Heat Sheets: Events are posted in Swimtopia. Also see the attached Heat Sheets by name pdf. Remember to mark up your swimmers before arrival!
Warm-Up: Our rookies are swimming an exhibition race of 25 free before the actual meet starts, at 5:50pm. As a result, our warm-ups will start at 4:50pm this Wednesday. Please plan accordingly and come cheer on our youngest swimmers in their very first race!
Volunteers: Please check in at the volunteer table upon arrival, even if working the second shift. This helps us know who is there and prevents us from searching for volunteers during the meet! We also appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we sometimes have to shift slots around. If you are in the 2nd shift, please listen for the switchover at/around event 46.
