6/2 Pre-Meet Details Home vs. Chestnut Springs
Parents,
We are SO excited for our first HOME meet Tuesday 6/
Warmups: Our team will begin warming up promptly at 5 pm and the meet starts at 6 pm. Please give yourself time to park and get settled prior to warm-ups. Swimmers need to be ready to jump in the water when their age group is called!
Parking: Please pay attention and do not park on the side of the street with "no parking" signs so emergency vehicles can access if needed and cars can move through easily. Please also do not park in other people's driveways or block driveways on Spindrift. Carpool if you can to leave space for our visitors. If you notice anyone double parking, please let one of the Coordinators (pink tanks) know so we can make an announcement.
Volunteers: We still have a few volunteer spots that we need filled. We appreciate all of those who have signed up and hope that those of you who have not yet signed up, will take a slot. All volunteers should please check in at the volunteer table with Sarah Dockrell or Julia May (located to the LEFT, just inside the gate) upon arrival, even if working the second shift. This helps us know who is there and prevents us from searching for volunteers during the meet! We also appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we sometimes have to shift slots around. If you are in the 2nd shift, please listen for the switchover.
Concessions: We will have pizza, Chick-fil-A sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, fruit, candy, water and soft drinks. We will also have a very limited quantity of hats for purchase. Get these while you can! Cash and Venmo only. No bills greater than $20 please.
Theme: Our theme this week is LUAU. Parents, friends, and swimmers feel free to come dressed in theme!
Heat Sheets: Events will be posted in Swimtopia and we will share a Heat Sheet pdf when it is available. Remember to mark up your swimmers before arrival! Instructions can be found here. New this week, we are also asking that you please write your swimmer's name in sharpie on their right shoulder so we can easily find them when lining up for events.
Weather: Make sure you have the Swimtopia app downloaded and notifications turned on. If we hear thunder we have to clear the pool deck completely and will communicate delays and updates via phones. We need to make it through event 46, so that is our goal! If it is only raining, and we can still see the bottom of the pool, practices and meets will always be on as scheduled!
Events: Please help us ensure your swimmers are lined up in their lane 3 events prior to their event. This helps the coaches not have to chase as much!
